Glee

So I've been watching Glee this season and I can say without any qualifying that it's a bad show. The writing is inconsistent, the plot lines are terrible, it's bizarrely over-dramatic and not even remotely realistic.* But there is singing and dancing, and that's really all you need to have a hit show.

It's so fun, you guys. I mean, seriously, a boy just told his girlfriend's parents that she's pregnant by singing "She's Having my Baby." No kidding. And, since it's a hideously dramatic show, that boy is not even the actual father said the pair in question never had sex. Since it has no pretenses of realism or accuracy they can do whatever they want. It's ridiculous. So funny. And the best part is hardly anything carries over to the next show, so if something you don't like happens...chances are it won't stick. It's a good time, Glee. TV so bad it's fantastic.

*No, really. What high school has a celibacy club? And what school would allow slushy fights in the halls? Maybe I just went to a weird school.

I keep hearing so much about that show since you first mentioned it, I think I'm pretty much going to have to watch it at some point. Someone also mentioned that the actors on it are pretty attractive. Can they sing pretty well?

You know. this is the very first that I've heard about this show. I'm wary...it is a musical, isn't it?

Slushy fights would be cold and eventually, sticky. CHS probably did us a favor. And we did have a celibacy club--no one in the Gay-Straight alliance was getting laid. Debate club either, come to think of it. There was some nooky in chyrsalis, but it was all Taylor Green and Alex Shakespeare. I wonder what happened to that guy?

eeek, i actually have used scrubbing bubbles. and now i can't shower. thanks! ;)
glee is david's guilty pleasure.... i have to admit that the musical numbers are amazing. my favorite is the one where the guy is singing 'single ladies' and his dad walks in and he tells him it's for football. and the guy buys it. it is priceless.
alex shakespeare.... i used to have the biggest crush on him! and, this one time, i *leaned on his shoulder in the hallway*. it was the highlight of junior year, for serious.
